Best Web Hosting Company (A Review)

Who is the best web hosting company?  This is the question I asked myself when I finally made the leap to the WordPress platform for my blog.

You see, your blog or website is like your home – it’s a place where you (and the stuff you write about) live.

Your domain name (such as: http://YourBusiness.com) is like the address painted on the curb or printed on your mailbox in front of your home.  Your address (domain name) helps people find you.

But we can’t forget one extremely important piece of this Internet Real Estate puzzle – your piece of land.

You have to have land on which to build your home (website) and where you

can post your address so that folks can find you.

A hosting company is like your piece of land.  It’s where your website “lives”.

You will want a hosting company with a highly functional infrastructure that can support your blog or website, great support, a reasonable price point, and of course, a minuscule (if at all) occurrence of any downtime for your site – if ever.

BEST WEBSITE HOST =

I set out to do my research.  There are so many options out there!  When I finally narrowed it down, the two choices remaining were two big hitters:  Hostgator and BlueHost.

I went to their respective sites.  I studied and read and studied some more.

I went to the search engines and got onto forums and asked which company folks liked the best.  What were their experiences?  How accessible was support? What about the ease of use and what happened if their was a complaint about your website being down for whatever reason?

What I found tipped my decision in favor of what I consider to be the best hosting company hands down  – Hostgator.

There are 3 different levels of monthly plans and you can choose what is right for you. Whenever I forgot my password or had any other kind of tech-y question, Hostgator support answered my concerns quickly and professionally.  If you have a larger task required (such as transferring your domain to them), they will ask you for the information needed and give you a quote.

As far as I know, there has not been a time when my websites were not accessible since hosting with Hostgator.  That’s impressive!

In all of the time since I have hosted my sites with Hostgator, support has been stellar, and I have never – not even for a split second – wish I had made another choice.

As far as I’m concerned, after much study, review and research, Hostgator is the best web host company on the planet.

If you need a place for your website or blog to live, here’s my recommendation:  don’t get a free site that is not under your ownership or control (such as wordpress.yourbiz.com).  Instead, become an Internet Real Estate owner – either purchase the domain name and hosting yourself, or request that your consultant company (such as Ride The Tide) do so for you.

Hostgator is the best website host out there, in my honest opinion.
