The Power of A Team: Encouragement

We’ve been talking for several posts about the power of a team – but here’s a seldom verbalized “big deal” when it comes to progressing in your business.

Component #5 of a Successful Online Business is ready encouragement from like-minded people.

Family and Friends May Not Understand

That can be tough to swallow, but you might even get a lot of negativity from those who are close to you, or even from your own family members.

You may hear such things as the following:

* That sounds like a scam to me – why don’t you go out and get a “normal” 9-5 job?

* I don’t know anybody who makes any money online.

* I’ve never seen it done like that before – I don’t think you know what you’re doing!

* You’re putting in HOW many hours a week?  And you’ve earned HOW much so far?

* Come on, get off the computer and let’s veg in front of the TV for 7 hours.

….or any variation of the above!

Don’t Rock the Boat

Beginning or expanding your online presence is kind of like rocking the boat, or shaking up the status quo.

That’s because it holds a lot of unknowns for folks unfamiliar with it. They’re afraid you’ll waste your time, lose money, and hang onto false hope.

You’re working on a positive mindset, coupled with a ton of hard work and dedication to your goals.

But sometimes you get discouraged.

You run into tech troubles, you get writer’s block, or you just might feel like you’re in a funk.

Never underestimate the power of a word of encouragement from a team member!

Many times, more than I can count, I’ve heard an encouraging word from a teammate or leader that gave me a lift and helped me to “keep on keeping on”.

If you are a “lone ranger” on the internet, it can get mighty lonely when things get tough.

Look for a team – for multiple reasons. Look for one that is a good fit for you. One that teaches cutting edge marketing strategies so you can succeed – regardless of your business model. And definitely choose a team of like minded “Go Givers” that will embrace you and give you the opportunity to be an active part of a “help and be helped” community.

My team does a fabulous job of all of the above.  A private Facebook page gives us 24/7 access to other members if we have a problem or idea we want to bounce off someone else.

Want to know if our team is a good fit for your goals?

Just contact me  and I’ll send you a link to an “invitation only” webinar where you’ll get a peek inside what we have to offer.  There’s no cost or obligation, but you’re sure to learn something you can apply to your business.

Don’t underestimate the uplifting, encouraging power of a positive team!
